Welcome to the portal for the Department of Children and Learning Our vision is to achieve better outcomes for children, young people and adult learners in Southend. To do this we will work to:
- Narrow the gap in outcomes between those who do well and those who do less well.
- Improve life-chances and empower children and learners to even greater personal achievements.
- Secure improvements in all five outcomes in the Every Child Matters Framework (being healthy, staying safe, enjoying and achieving, making a positive contribution and achieving economic well-being).
We are committed to providing 'joined up' services that are 'children and young people friendly'. This portal is designed in part to enable a sharing of practice between staff that will facilitate enhanced levels of joined-up work. |
